“The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.
– Mark Twain
My name is Carole Sheldon.
I am a writer, twin mother, military veteran & spouse.
I also happen to be the author of Sage & Solace – Simple, Intentional Living Blog.
During the day, you’ll most likely find me drinking herbal tea, smelling fresh flowers, frequenting the local farmer’s market, or trying out my latest, from-scratch recipe!
By dusk, you may find me tending my garden, canning my next batch of homemade apple butter, sewing a new project, or cuddling up on the couch (near the fireplace) with a book.
I decided to start this blog after witnessing firsthand, just how quickly time passes.
Prior to having children, it seemed like time stood still, moments lasted longer, and the opportunity to create memories seemed endless.
After becoming a first-time mother, it seemed as though time began to speed up.
‘The days became shorter, the months started whipping by, and the realization that my little ones were destined to soon be toddlers, hit me like a ton of bricks.
Where did the time go?
I started this blog because I wanted to take note of the little things in life.
I wanted to take a step back from the daily grind and start embracing the small things that make life worth living.
It’s about minimizing things that don’t matter, in order to make room for things that do.
It’s about being intentional with my time, so that I may share it with those who dearest to me.
This blog is about many things, but most importantly, it’s about my family’s (not so perfect) journey toward living simply.
So if by chance, you’re interested (of course, we hope you are), we’d like to extend an invitation for you to follow our journey with us.
And just so you know…
We’re not subject matter experts, in fact — we’re fully embracing the assured mistakes and mishaps along the way.
‘After all… life’s a journey… and no matter the obstacles, we’re keen on seeking solace, along the way.
Welcome in. We’re glad you’re here.
